Upon arrival to the hospital a nurse will assess your injury or illness before you see a doctor. Depending on the nature of your injury or illness, you may begin your stay at this hospital and then be transferred to a neighbouring hospital to see a specialist or allied health service.

You can present to this hospital for mental health emergencies or call the Rural and Remote Mental Health Service on 13 14 65.

A GP and pharmacy are also right next door for prescriptions and general non-emergency health care as well as continuity of care.
