ENGAGEMENT SURVEYS - YOUTH & YOUNG CHILDREN
Council is seeking the views of the young children and youth in our community to inform the drafting of a strategy aiming to provide a strategic roadmap focussed on supporting the wellbeing of- children (0-11 years) and youth (12- 25 years) within our District.
The primary strategic goal is to create a secure, inclusive and sustainable environment for children and young people in our community while involving them in decision-making and providing connections to local community groups and service providers.
Surveys tailored to each of the age groups are now available. The surveys will also be promoted through the local schools. Parents and caregivers are also able to participate in the surveys.
Feedback received at the close of the survey period will be reviewed by Council Members at a briefing session. All considerations will be captured to enable a draft strategy to then be submitted to a meeting of Council seeking endorsement for public consultation prior to final adoption and implementation.
The surveys are available via the links below and take 2 minutes to complete. The surveys are open now and close on Friday 22 March.
