Port Germein Lighthouse

This lighthouse is part of the history of a town once bustling with activity. In 1894 this lighthouse was erected at the end of the Port Germein Jetty. It was manned until  the original light was replaced by an AGA flashing light in July of 1917. It was re-erected in 1975 in its current position. Restoration works took place in June 2023 which involved blasting, the application of marine coatings, and the application of a high build epoxy and polyurethane topcoat.
